nother great turn out for the third monthly Drupal Yorkshire Meetup, with very special guest speaker Jeni Tehan from Delicious Creative joining us via Google Hangout from the Skiff in Brighton.
Curve hosted with Paul Driver and Andrew McPherson chairing proceedings and we were pleased to welcome another new face with Penny from Sites & Stationary joining.
Jeni guided us through 'Building A Tasty Backend', a brilliant presentation on best practices, tips, layouts, views and modules for putting together a people friendly admin interface for content editors and admins in Drupal 7.
Here's a link to the Tasty Backend Demo Site Jeni put together. Some of the modules referred to include:
Jeni then spoke about her Block Class Select sandbox project which Andrew has helped with. It alters the text field added by the Block Class module to allow for an administrator defined list of classes that end users can select.
Drupal England & Wales Next Steps - setting up of national organisation - meeting and Google hangout with Andrew and Paul W attending in Manc on 18th March.
Discussion - 2 Pauls and Jeni re: Drupal Camp in London (discussion at end of that vid).
In April 2013, Chris Johnson from Orange Digital will host and present a talk about why they chose Drupal and developed a responsive site for EE using Drupal register here.
Later on in the pub, Andrew had the excellent idea for a regular short five minute "My Favourite Module" presentation.
